Abigail

Abigail started her first week at the sitters house and she is doing great! She isn't napping, but hopefully that will come. She spent Saturday night with her Non and Pop. She was pooped when we got home tonight - she went to bed at 6:40 and haven't heard a peep from her. She is getting so big and doing so many things, I can hardly believe it.

Tonight she asked me "where does this go?" and then "where are you going, mama?" She is talking and walking (with a precious little arm swing). I can't believe what a big girl she is.

She is swimming every chance she gets - and now she stands on the side of the pool and jumps in - yes, I said jump. The child has no fear. She is a mermaid:)

Abigail has decided she loves Country music. When we are in the car she dances to any song she likes - especially George Strait and Billy Currington's People are Crazy. She even sings along sometimes. She is so funny about her music.

Abigail is ready to start walking - she pushes the shopping cart all around the house. She is pretty fast too! She just spent 2 days with Marmie and Grandpa D after Mommy sprained her ankle. I am glad to have her home, though!

We stayed up till 9:30 last night to see some fireworks, only to learn that Abigail could not care less about fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year.

Abigail has been swimming and enjoying her summer. She is really trying to start walking. She loves to go swimming at her Non and Pop's. Ms. Quana even took her swimming this past week. She is playing with Deja while mommy teaches summer school. We are starting regular trips to storytime at the library this Wednesday.
Abigail is really developing a little voice, though it isn't always little. She likes to sing, talk to her animal friends, though she calls everything "dog". She thinks Gracie May is the funniest thing ever. They are having a big time playing.
We are enjoying our summer and look forward to the next 2 months.

Abigail has been a very busy girl this weekend. She started on Thursday night when she spent the night with Pop and Non. She played all day Friday with them and then went to see Preston at a baseball game Friday night. Mommy and Daddy brought her home for a little while. On Saturday, we went to see Nathan at his post graduation open house. From there, Abigail went to Marmie and Papa D's. We are heading to a baby shower this afternoon, hopefully our Monday will be low key.

Abigail is getting so big and doing so many things. She is all over the place and so busy. She is eating barbeque and playing with her blocks. She is going to start walking any day now.

We had Abigail's pictures taken for her 1st birthday! They are so stinking cute. Of course, it doesn't really help that Brittany took over 250 pictures! But we love them all.

We are going to get our 1st b-day pics tomorrow. Only a month late. I can't belive how much she has changed in one year. She is so busy and all over the place. Hopefully we can keep her still long enough to get some pictures. We will see!

We are only a few days a way from Abigail's 1st Birthday! Yippee!!!!!!!!

We are on our way to feeling better. Our dr. visit proved worthwhile and we are on the mend. A little throat infection, but Abigail should be feeling better soon.

We are headed to the dr to find out why she screams bloody murder everytime you lay her down. It was so bad, the sitter had to call Katrena to come get her. Bless her heart, something must be terribly wrong. Hopefully we will know for sure, soon.

We have reached our limit on being the perfect baby. Abby has had a rough few days, struggling with sleeping and general fussiness. Hopefully it is just teeth and we will get through it shortly. She is still really stinkin' cute, just more ornery than ever. I guess that is what happens when you stay home with Daddy for a couple weeks:)

We are so excited to be home with our sweet little girl and enjoy this time off. We have some plans - going to the zoo and to the arboretum! Can't wait to do all these new things with Abigail.

Look at me playing in the diaper box. I have decided I like getting inside things. It is usually this or the laundry basket. I am getting so big and having so much fun. I have enjoyed a day home with Daddy today and another one tomorrow. Hopefully Deja will feel better, but I like hanging out at home.

Abigail is all about the new foods these days. This weekend she
has had muffins, bacon, hamburgers, hot dogs, cheetos, grits,
jello with cool whip, animal crackers (in the middle of walmart)
and her favorite - Pancakes! She loves to eat.

Abigail is 11 months old today! I can hardly believe she is getting so big. The big day will be here soon and we are having a big party. She is trying to pull up and perfecting her crawling. She is enjoying feeding herself. She has discovered cooked carrots and mandarin oranges.

Abigail is so busy. She is at home with Daddy today and they are just hanging out. She enjoyed a morning at McDonalds - where she had pancakes, of course, followed by a trip to the dr. Yippee, no ear infection. She is crawling all over and just a busy little bee.

Wow - Wednesday was very eventful in Abigail's little life. She has a second tooth coming through. And most importantly - she started to CRAWL. She is ready to go. How exciting! I was told that I better get some track shoes. :)
